A Walk Into RFC...Yahooo!!

Last night was terrific! we have never been into a Muslim fast food restaurant yet it was worth the experience. Once we set our foot in the restaurant, we were mesmerized by the surrounding.  The furnitures are modern looking with attractive colours and the seatings are so comfortable.

The music played on air are Islamic songs making the customers feels peaceful and at ease. Most of them are Nasyid songs and Quran recitement, making RFC different from other fast food restaurant.  The queue of customers is also short.  This is because from our observation, when the number of customer entering the restaurant increase, more counters are open, making the waiting-time experienced by customers are less than what can be offered by the other fast food restaurant.

While waiting for out turn in the queue, we were busy looking at the pictures of dishes displayed on top of the menu signboard.  They all looks so delicious that we can't wait to have a taste of it.  so, when our turn come, we ordered all the list of food that crossed our mind.  The waitress seems so surprised looking at the amount of dishes that we ordered, that when we think about it again, we began to laugh at each other.

here are the list of dishes on the menu:

The food are served on a tray.  Unfortunately, some of the food that we ordered might take some time to cooked, so we decided to taste some of it first.  The first servings that we tried is the Chicken Chop set which cost RM9.90 and it comes with a drink.  The three of us shared it together, saving some space in our stomach for testing the other dishes.  The drinks given in the set which is 'Radix Cola' is actually something quite new to us.  However, we think it was okay.  The chicken slice is very big in size, and the mash potato was wonderful.  We all agreed that it was the best mash potato that we have ever taste in our life, due to the fact that we have been visiting almost every fast food restaurant available in Malaysia.  Seriously, you have to taste this. =)

The next dish that we tried is Radix Crunchy Fried Chicken and Chips.  We choose this serving because we want to compare it with Kentucky Fried Chicken.  However, what we found out is that both are different and unique in its own way.  The crunchy fried chicken by RFC are available in two version; hot & spicy and herbalicious.  however, when we go there at 8, the herbalicious type has already sold out, so we only get a chance to taste the hot and spicy type.  The set comes with 3 pieces of chicken, a mash potato, a coleslaw and a piece of bread.  Usually, when only feel full when we have already eaten 3 pieces of chicken, but this time, we only manage to eat one and a half before we surrender and admit that we are already too full.  We don't know what is so special about organic chicken before until we get to taste it at Radix that night.  The major difference is usually chicken will have a lot of fats that sometimes we have to separate it from the skin, but the organic chicken at Radix barely have any fat on it.  We find that it is also softer than ordinary chicken, tastes better, and those who eat it will easily felt full.

After five minutes of waiting, all the other dishes had arrived.  The third dish that we tasted is the 'Nasi Ayam' set.  It was served with a bowl of rice, a bowl of chicken soup, a huge piece of salad, a piece of roasted chicken and also a set of ketchup and soy sauce.  The rice was quite nice, the salad are fresh and the roasted chicken are not dry at all.  As for the drinks, Akmal decide to have a taste of Radix Koko, I chose Radix Strawberry and Aslam decide to have Radix Cola.  The strawberry was wonderful, that i decide to take it home and keep it in the refrigerator. =P

For the fourth dish, we chose a very
light one which is Cheesy Wedges.  The price is RM5.50, at first I thought it was quite expensive, but when I get a taste of it, I changed my mind. The wedges at Radix Fried Chicken actually comes with more pieces.  We had some trouble finishing it, because we already had too much in our stomach.  I assume there are more than 15 pieces altogether.  Dont be fooled by the picture, somehow it looks like there is only some pieces, but it was all hidden underneath the others.   The pieces are bigger, but somehow it's still able to maintain it'c crispiness. The cheese and mayonese are very different than what we can find in other fast food restaurant because it tastes quite sour and it was much more better.  A better sentence to describe it is, 'we all like it very much!'   I was very satisfied with it. =)

Here is a picture of our wonderful moments at RFC.  It was worth it all, and it only cost us RM42.80 for all the dishes that we ordered.  I just cant wait to have a second trip to RFC and while writing this, i kept thinking about the cheesy wedges.  Really, you should try it! I guess it is time to sleep. Until next time!~ =)
